Grace Abt is from Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin, and is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Violin Performance at the University of Northwestern. She studies violin under Brittany Quinn and is a part of the UNW Orchestra.
Grace began piano lessons at the age of 5 and began violin lessons at the age of 13. During high school she played with the Milwaukee Youth Symphony Orchestra as a first violinist. She also achieved a perfect score in the Wisconsin State Solo Ensemble Competition in both her junior and senior years of high school. Throughout her childhood Grace enjoyed playing in a band with her siblings as well as playing with her church worship team.
Grace is thrilled to be able to combine her love for kids and her passion for music by teaching violin for the Academy of Music. She has 2 years of teaching experience as a private violin instructor and hopes to have her own private music studio in the future. Her goal is to inspire her students and make music a positive and enjoyable experience for them!
