The dance minor develops dancers technically through classes in ballet, modern, jazz and tap as well as fosters creativity and artistry through choreography and performance opportunities. Additionally, the study of dance history and perspectives allows discovery in how dance relates to the Christian worldview. Emphasis is placed on maintaining the highest level of artistic integrity along with strong spiritual foundations in order to prepare students for careers in dance and related fields.

Some classes in this minor include:
  • Introduction to Dance
  • Dance History and Perspectives
  • Choreography
  • Tap Dance
  • Ballet
  • Jazz Dance
  • Modern Dance

If you go into a room of actors and talk to them, of the three main things—acting, singing, dancing—almost all of them are going to say their weakest one is dancing because there just isn’t as much access to dance training. This definitely sets us apart going into the professional world as actors because we will have that experience that not necessarily everyone had access to.
